Butterfly
milkweed
holds its’ secret
very well beneath its green
tapestry lies the silken white
treasure
first breath
caterpillar
emerges ready for the
bounty the milkweed holds in store
first bite
growing
day by day the
caterpillar prepares for
the journey yet to come when all
ends and
begins
the J forms a
gold chrysalis and the
metamorphous that brings stunning
rebirth
stirring
the struggle to
emerge and take to flight
the wings spread wide and butterfly
away
